The Westside Laundry cafe may be small in size, but it more than makes up for it with character and charm. The unique décor creates a cosy and inviting atmosphere, making it an enjoyable place to spend time. The Swartz is exceptionally juicy and full of flavour, the coffee is brewed to perfection, and the service provided by the owner is outstanding, warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. This is a place worth returning to, and I look forward to coming back soon!

My partner and I visited Westside Laundry while on our trip to Hobart last week. We were both blown away by the very friendly service (particularly from the lovely waitress), chilled atmosphere, charming decor and delicious food. The sandwiches at this place are to die for and we will absolutely be back!

If In Hobart, this place IS A MUST. The food was AMAZING! Very generous portions and great quality - I personally recommend the croquettes, even though everything else on that menu was to die for. The cherry on top would be the most kind and friendly staff + a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing atmosphere! The sandwiches were so flavoursome and the drinks were excellent! Seating was a little tight, but even on crutches I was able to manouver through the space easily enough. Everyone working there was professional, in a laid back effortless kind of way. I will 100% be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

You’ll find this is in fact NOT a laundry. A culinary experience awaits you in this cosy little cafe where the coffee makes you kick your head and twiddle your toes. The sandwich selection is short and refined to perfection. The first bite is crispy but fluffy, saucy but smoky, and the second bite is even better. Clean up with a churro beyond your tastebuds comprehension it’s sweet its fluffy is crunchy it the next step to enlightenment

Westside Laundry was our absolute favourite stop during our trip to Hobart. The food was delicious, and we highly recommend trying their special. We were lucky enough to get the southern fried steak, which was our favourite yet. A special shoutout to the staff, who made each visit so enjoyable. We loved the banter, atmosphere, and the delicious food.

We were staying nearby and discovered this little gem. Cool art and love the fact they honoured the original laundromat throughout! Great food and coffee and enjoyed a cocktail pre dinner. What we loved most was the service and friendliness of the staff.

From the outside, this spot might not catch your eye – but don’t be fooled. Behind the simple façade is one of Hobart’s true hidden gems. Their sandwiches are hands-down some of the best you’ll find in the city. We went for the veggie options and loved every bite, with the egg sandwich quickly becoming our favourite – so much flavour and such great value for the price. A special mention goes to the waitress, who always greets us with infectious energy and her signature funny salutes – she makes every visit feel extra welcoming. This place might look unassuming, but once you step inside, you’ll discover a local treasure.
